Gosh I'm surprised Microsoft hasn't added that feature. I believe that
the copy and paste functions are two of the most important features of
Windows. I thought I must have been overlooking something.

I believe that the ClipBook utility (part of Windows) might do the job for
you. You may need to start the "ClipBook" service on your machine (it's
turned off by default I think). The program itself does is not on the menu,
but is called "clipbrd.exe", and is located in the System32 folder.
