I've got a PC running XP, not a Mac. It's an 80GB video iPod that's 2
years old. The problem is that I'm getting an "Error -69" when I'm
synching my iPod with iTunes. I've searched a bit on the Internet for a
solution. It appears that error has to do with a corrupt or incompatible
file in that portion of the sync process. The sync continues for pictures
and games. As a result, I can sync podcasts but not imported CD's, or
items purchased from the iTunes store. They play fine on the PC but won't
transfer to the iPod. Apple's official recommendation is to watch the
names as they flash up while the sync is running to find the affected
file, delete it, and then re-sync. The last file name displayed is a
video that's I've long since deleted but continues to think that it needs
to be synched.

After playing with it for awhile and, I got frustrated copied the iTunes
music folders out of the "My Music" folder, removed iTunes with the
Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel, and re-installed iTunes
from Apple's web site. I then imported only the folders with the music
and podcasts that I wanted. It acted better for about a day and then
iTunes somehow found the same bad file and it hits a -69 error just like
before.

Does anybody have any ideas or can recommend a utility or something that
will let me edit what it things need to be synched?
