OK, I tried it another way with what was in that download. Previously, I
had said not to search for a better driver, I would select the location.
Windows would always said there was no suitable driver in that location.

Here's what I did: I chose a complete manual route, said "Have Disk" and
pointed directly to the .inf file. Windows then threw up a screen stating
this was a bad idea because Windows wasn't sure my PC would run after
reboot.

I took a really deep breath and forced it to use the driver in the download.
(The word "Intel" was not in the new driver text. Other than that the text
for the new driver was the same.)

As you can see, my PC did reboot and the drivers now show as .699. I'm now
doing a changes only backup in Image For Windows which is at 50%, with no
lockups, and I'm continuing to work in other apps.

I followed it to it's ultimate destination where a Fernando put together a
driver update for NVIDIA nForce stuff.

Signed up for esnips just so I could download it.

Downloaded, unpacked, and installed it and . . . it's the same version I
already have.
