Proper tools for image based deployment ships with current versions of Windows.
.wim based images can hold multiple images, with shared files only
being in the image at once.
The Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2008 contains everything you need,
and it's provided without additional charges:

Remember that for image based deployment, you will need Volume
Licensing with SA. Otherwise, you're not allowed to redeploy PCs using
images!
Also, you will need to consider if you want to use MAK or KMS for licensing.
