Remember, intelppm.sys used to work on AMD. Now it crashes. A programmer at Microsoft made that change. You want to blame the OEM for software that used to work but now doesn't, go ahead, but it's just more proof (to me, anyway) that Microsoft is losing control of its development process.

SP3 works perfectly on my home-built Athlon 2400+ on an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe motherboard. I have no idea what that says about Microsoft's development process or OEM cluelessness, but this seemed as good a place as any to note that it's apparently not all AMD processors that expose this issue.
