Yeah, that is something ... you don't know how many times I spelled my last name "Gobbs" :)

As far as GoDaddy. I really looked into it at one point. They are a
certified root CA and have gone through the formal process to become one.
The only problems you may run into is really old operating systems. I think
there is something on their FAQ about it. However here we decided to go with
Thawte (even though it costs more).

Well, this is just for my personal server, so as long as their a root CA, I'm OK with it.
