Hi List,

Does anybody know of an emulation card that has software that will
run under XP 64-bit? I just got a new desktop and my previous
desktop was the system console using an NLynx Es32 pci card. I
really hate to lose this - it allows remote console operation and a
whole slew of goodies with the set up I now have. I know there are
other ways of doing it but this is what I have.

Rick, this is one of the reasons I finally gave up on 64-bit Windows.
The driver support is very spotty, especially for older equipment.
That's why I'm right now in the midst of moving first to all open source
and then, maybe to a Linux desktop.

Combine the price with the fact that Linux appliances tend to run in
much smaller footprints and it's really great for a virtualized
network. I can't get out of Windows completely anytime soon, but I'm
preparing for the day.

Yeah, I had the idea myself but had so much trouble getting fedora and
vmware to play nice together I had to give it up for lack of time. I
guess I'll set up my consoles on a little old pc with plain xp and use
vnc or remote desktop to run it... I can't wait to get that dual quad
core with 16gig and a mirrored terabyte on my desktop... Wdsci/Rad
*does* get snappy with that... I'm still considering that other
discussion we had - I'll get back to you.
