It sounds like you have already decided to start from scratch as others
suggested, which I agree with.

If the others' registry tips still don't help you find the programs to
remove, you could try CCleaners' program removal tool. I've used it for
programs that do not show up at all in the Add/Remove Program pane. But, I
suspect it uses the registry to list the available programs, so if the other
tips suggested don't work, this might not show anything either. Just
thought I'd include this for the archives in case someone else runs across
this in the future and doesn't want to reinstall everything.
