Wake on LAN -- PCTECH

We've got 4 PCs that are locked in offices. I have the BIOS set up in each
of these to boot up at 6am and sign the user on. Then a virus scan and
backup are done and by the time the user comes in, it's ready to roll. The
users like it and the only bad part is they start up on Saturday morning and
are on the rest of the weekend.

I've installed IBM Director and am fooling around with it. I discovered I
can put in a scheduled job in Director Console and have a PC or PCs boot up
whenever I specify (like only 5 days a week). Tried it on a PC last night
and it work great.

Wanted to try it on another PC, so I changed this other PC's BIOS to wake on
LAN. Now when I shut this PC down, it immediately reboots. Every time.
That isn't exactly what I'm looking for. <g>

Anybody else seen this? This is my first dabbling with wake on LAN. Are
there multiple types of wake on LAN that I need to be concerned about?
These PC's were purchased at different times, so they are not the same BIOS.
