Knoppix Network Adapter question

Hi Folks,



Working with Knoppix to try and salvage stuff.



It did not pick up the integrated Network Adapter so I stuck a 3Comm into an
open slot.



It see that one when I go to set it up.



I get:



Use DHCP broadcast ? and if I click on Yes it tries for awhile and comes
back with "Failed"



So I start over and select No and I get:



Please enter IP Address for eth0

And I enter 172.16.10.78 and click on OK



Please enter Network Mask for eth0

And I enter 255.255.255.0 and click on OK.



Please enter Broadcast Address for eth0

And I have no idea what to enter here because we do not use that in a
Windows config.



Please enter Default Gateway

And I enter 172.16.10.3 and click on OK



Please enter Nameservers

And I enter 64.132.94.250 216.136.95.2 and click on OK



And it says all is well but I cannot hit any website from it and I cannot
ping it from another PC.



And ideas as to what I am doing wrong ?
