I don't think I've ever seen a LCD display (laptop or other) with a
glossy screen. Well, maybe on a Mac.

I don't know if it's specifically non-glare, but it seems nice. One
nice feature is an ambient light sensor that darkens the screen when
there isn't much ambient light around ... this extends the battery time.

Basically, is there any way that you can see your reflection when you are
looking at the screen? It's been pretty obvious to me when I've looked at
HP, Sony, Gateway, and Toshiba laptops in the stores. The screens are
definately different than they were a couple of years ago. I think that
they are trying to make the colors look brighter. They also tend to show
fingerprints.

I got out my wife's Mac laptop last night because I thought I remember it
had a reflective screen. It does to a small extent but when I powered it
on I couldn't see any reflections so I'd say that Apple got it right,
assuming that you want that sort of thing. Dell may be bubbling back up
on my list.
