p.s. My sincere apologies for making light. I've searched for
similar totally bizarre errors before. Believe it or not, the last
time I went on such a search, the fix (I kid you not) was to replace
the freakin' keyboard! And it worked. That's not a suggested fix;
just a note of sympathy.
