PC Printing From a Mac

My father-in-law bought my wife a Mac notebook for Christmas (and all I
got was a lousy video iPod <vbg>). I haven't really used an Apple since
my old Apple II. She's been happy with it and has been able to get on the
home network and Internet to make use of it. The only thing she hasn't
been able to do is print. All of our printers are connected to Windows XP
machines. How do I set up a new printer on the thing and make it go to
the XP PC?
