Why not just use usb attached external drives? For one windows server I use
an internal drive as a holding drive for backups from a linux box as well as
the .bkp's from the windoze side...then I periodically copy them to the
external usb attached and move that to offsite...




I just want a file server that I can access via most operating
systems (Windows, Linux or OS X) with minimum need to maintain it
with a way to run backups on my PCs so that I don't have data loss. I
know that the Windows Home Server is coming out soon as well, but
would I hit the same road block?
