You'll love this.

6 weeks ago we installed a new phone system. Along with it is an XP Pro
Wintel box that contains software for call reporting.

We decided to mount the phone system on the wall in a rack. The installer
took all the innards out of the Wintel tower case and reinstalled into a
rack mount. The MS license key code sticker is on the tower case. The
installer spent 1/2 hour on the phone with MS trying to get a new license
key code for Win XP.

MS will not give them a new license key code without buying a new license.
My choices are: 1) Keep the tower case around as proof of purchase or 2)
attempt to remove the sticker and put it on the rack or 3) buy another
licensed copy of XP Pro and install it.

Tell me, what does one do if a case gets damaged but otherwise the PC is OK?
Does MS make you buy a new copy of XP Pro because you put a replacement
panel on the case?

Inquiring minds want to know.
