I noticed that Cingular offers EDGE service.  How is that different from
EVDO?

FWIW: I know of an IT manager for a local iSeries shop that uses a EVDO

PC Card on his morning rail commute and can get a lot of work done
during his one hour trip.  He justs connects up to his VPN and off he
goes.



*That* would be just the ticket to moving out to the rural edge of town and
commuting to work.  I'd see one of my cars if I could do that.  Someday...
