Dan, Its free and does not use advertisements. I have used it for years and have never had a problem. If you send 29.95 you'll receive the manuals and help contribute to the project. Highly recommended.... http://www.pmail.com/
Thanks Terry. I must have been thinking of another well-regarded email client that used to be strictly commercial, but somewhere along the line they added an adware-supported version. Can't remember the name. Anyway, without dragging myself into the debate, I will just say that I'm a happy user of Thunderbird, using it to manage several gmail accounts. Ok, well I'll also say that I'd be happy to see an expert review between Pegasus and Tbird. BTW, I got a laugh out of the pmail.com link. When we walk our dogs, and they stop to sniff a previous visitor's mark, we comment on how they are checking their "p-mail" (this was my teenage son's revelation). If it's a short sniff, and they move on, we call it spam. If they have to be dragged away, we call it juicy or gossip p-mail. Probably more than you wanted to know about our family, eh? - Dan
