Chuck,

I have not changed the value from the default which is -1 and have not
experienced any problems memory wise with the latest version 1.5.0.4 on both my
work and home machines.

Work: 1GB RAM
Home: 768MB

Firefox does use a lot of memory though (currently 81MB on my work machine)
with 5 tabs open.

VERY interesting Paul - thanks !

So I take it you have experienced this too ?

What do you have your browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers set to and
how much memory do you have ? I read a good chunk of it but not all (yet)
and there seemed to be a question on setting it to 8.

Thanks !

Chuck

FYI, here's a good article on the Firefox memory issue by one of the
developers:
