Dan - I'm not using either app at the moment. Nothing to create PDFs has been installed on my work machine since it was rebuilt in January (HD failed). I rarely need to create PDFs so it hasn't been much of an issue. I first used the 995 app, the ad version, a couple of years back; at the time either PDFCreator didn't exist or there was some other reason we weren't using it. I was told I could use it when I had an immediate need. It worked, so I never looked for alternatives. Sorry, not much help this time. John A. If PDFCreator doesn't feel right, an alternative is http://www.pdf995.com/ . $9.95 or free with minor, unobtrusive ads. They also have PDF converters and other stuff on the same pricing
model. John, you reminded me that I have this on one of my PCs at home. I haven't played with it in awhile, but I seem to recall the somewhat annoying ads. Again, this is not something I use on a regular basis, so the ads were not a killer for me. Anyway, I've already installed PDFcreator, and it looks good. Unless something changed my opinion of it, I'll likely stay with it. But I'm curious about your opinion of pdf995. Have you compared it with PDFcreator? If so, care to share your analysis? Are you using the $9.95 version or free version?
