Careful! Most cheap routers do NOT support multiple VPN connections from
behind it to the same VPN server.


Ahh, thanks for the heads up.  I had not tested that but it sounds like I
should...

I like the idea of funneling all traffic over the corporate connection,
it centralizes logging and rules management. But why use a VPN client at
each PC? Why not get something like linksys's BEFVP41 router


Well for one reason the WRT54G is only $40 and includes WiFi capabilities,
compared to over $100 for the BEFVP41 plus still needing an access point or
whatever for WiFi is desired.

And they have no additional charge per PC for the VPN clients.  However, I
will definately test the multiple concurrent VPN clients through the router.

built-in VPN-tunnel capabilities (http://tinyurl.com/e9cfw) that way the
router is the VPN client to your corporate office and you can manage
traffic connections on the router. NB: I've only read about the BRFVP41,
I've not used it.
