True.  I was kinda wondering why everyone was talking about putting it
behind the router when it's not necessary.  Seems like you'd just be
inducing another layer of latency, albeit minimal, into the connection.
Latency is one of VOIP's enemies.

Well, strictly speaking, Vonage doesn't require QOS ... it just makes
the quality better.  It's also possible to put the voice terminal
adapter between the broadband connection and your router, so it
automatically gets priority on your connection.

AFAICT, Sunrocket would require QOS just as much as Vonage (based on
configuration) because the system is pretty much the same.
