I've never been happy with the load VNC puts on the server.  I use it
under duress when necessary, but I just don't like it.  I'm thinking
about something like LapLink as well, but then again, I have the Linux
issue.  Even if I do end up going the software route, I still want to
see if a cable solution is feasible.
