Here's one way to upper whatever value is entered in cell G1:

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Excel.Range)

   Application.EnableEvents = False
If Target.Row = 1 And Target.Column = 7 Then 
       Target.Value = UCase(Target.Value)
   End If
Application.EnableEvents = True End Sub
