This is gonna be a fun weekend. The PC at home (XP Pro) will only boot into safe mode (with or without networking). One of the boys was signed on last night about 8pm when I needed to call into work and check something. Did a reboot and, lo and behold, it won't. Ran adaware, spybot, Norton AV, Norton Windoctor. Found 371 pieces of spyware that weren't there a couple of days ago but No Dad! Nobody downloaded anything! Spent 3 1/2 hours with not much luck. Another spyware removal tool found another 107 pieces of spyware. The download and scan was free but I have to pay if I actually want it removed.
