David,

I have an HP that I bought at Best Buy and then bought the port replicator
for it directly from HP off of their web site. I've been very happy with
it so far (had it about 18 months now). I don't remember the exact model
I have since I'm at work, but then I'm sure they have all changed since
then anyhow.

Thank you,
Ronald L. Zimmerman

Subject: [PCTECH] Laptops with true docking stations or port
replicators?

Folks:

Can anyone recommend a laptop, besides Dell, that has a true docking
station or port replicator?

I'm looking to replace my Dell Inspiron 8100 ... and I'm open to other
brands ... but I need a docking station or port replicator.

The docking station or port replicator cannot be USB based. I need a
true base station that has it's own ethernet, usb, video connector,
power, rs232, and parallel ports.

Thanks!

david
