Does anyone know if there is a way to configure XP to record UPS events in the Event log?
Our office had a power failure last night and my machine went on battery power and subsequently shut off.
When I arrived in the morning, my machine was powered off ... and there was no obvious indication of why.
I looked in the event log but couldn't find anything.
After looking at all the recent events, I found the following...
> Event Type: Information > Event Source: Application Popup > Event Category: None > Event ID: 26 > Date: 8/3/2004 > Time: 11:10:07 PM > User: N/A > Computer: ILDGIBBS1 > Description: > Application popup: Low Battery : You should change your battery or > switch to outlet power immediately to keep from losing your work.
Well this obviously indicates that we lost power ... but "Application popup" isn't what I would categorize a power failure as.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
