Yes I have burned CD's for windows updates. I downloaded the updates from microsoft.com. Are you trying to do it from the updates from IE update or from the PC's update?

Look at http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/catalog/en/default.asp

I've downloaded everything for W2K SP2, SP3 and SP4 and it creates a TON of subdirectories which would be a pain to navigate and load. Was wondering about moving them all into a base subdirectory.

Also how to you know if they are in the correct order, i.e. can you trust the Qxxxxx numbers for this ?

Additionally it includes a bunch "non-Q" entries, i.e. Jscript_
win2K_XP_56_6003, Driver_Ver_W2K_3917, Driver_Ver_W2K_3917, etc.
