I also prefer Palms to WinCE/PocketPC/name-of-the-month. >From my Treo 600 I can not only view/edit office docs, I can VPN to the corporate network, run a terminal services client, TN5250 to our 400s, browse the net, run Java apps, play lots of games, hit both my corporate & personal email accounts, stream audio/video, play MP3s, use it as a modem for my laptop (the cel phone data connection is the conduit), take pictures, read PDFs and pretty much any other e-book format. It has a QWERTY keyboard built in. And it's a cel phone. Battery life is pretty good. Of course, it costs more than $300, but can be had for around that after rebates with a cel service contract. Other Palm units, without so many frills, can be had for less. And of course many PPC devices can do most of the same stuff. The Treo just seems to have the best integration of the lot. That's why it made so many gadget-of-the-year lists. John A. Jones Americas Security Administrator Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc.
