Re: outlook express email address book

it was on, and that explains why i have everyone on the midrange
lists in my box. What scared me was, in the last week or so,
getting addresses showing up from like the local hospital network,
maybe 15 addresses of people i never had email contact with.
i would be typing in an address to send, and it would auto complete
names I had never seen before, and like I said, all the started
last week or so. I've now cleaned about 60 addresses of just
totally unrecognizable addresses I would never have contact with.
I am on a cable modem network (road runner) which has a terrible
problem with nimda & redworm  & other infections. My zone alarm
bounces thousands of attempts a day. I have not found an active virus
or worm on my pc in over a year, but was suspect something in the email
was updating the address book, even if i never open or reply to the email.
I do notice as i move down the incoming email a slight "flash" as the
cursor highlites an email (to delete). A spam filter would keep most of
what i get out and that will be my next step.
