You should be able to do ALT-SPACEBAR followed by the letter "P"
(properties). That will pop up a window where you can select the font tab
or adjust other aspects of the command prompt window.

They are huge - but there is no title bar so you can't click on it!

If I Alt + Tab or whatever to get the window bar back and click on
Properties there it all looks OK. In fact those are clearly the settings
used when I request "Maximize" from the right click on the window bar icon.
