David, Peter and Bill, thanks for your answers, BUT... the links you provided take me, ALL of them, as I pointed before, to downloading SP1, NOT the product IE6 itself. Still I asked if I'm wrong : I believe that in order to install IE6 SP1 you MUST do it over IE6, not over IE5. That's why I was asking where to download IE6 from. I know many places to download SP1 from. Bill, your answer seems to point (but am not sure I did understand it right) I am wrong, and need NOT have IE6 installed to install IE6 SP1... Are you sure? Thanks for your help, folks --
