Remove as in hide or get rid of. To get rid of you would need to uninstall
the software or figure out within the software on how to remove it. To hide
you (working from memory here) right click on the start menu, click
properties. Then there is a notification bar customize button somewhere that
you press. Then in there you can say to always hide, always show, or when
inactive.
