Jon,

My fault on the Covad thing - I was checking your email header and that is
from Midrange now that I look at it closer/without doing 12 things. And
Network Solutions whois shows your domain at Bell Canada (?).

Subject: [PcTech] RE: E-mail service recommendations

 >> What are you using AT&T for exactly ?

e-mail hosting only. I also have a second account with them for roaming
access. Up until now that was cheaper than using the dial-up associated
with the business account. World wide dial access is critical for me.

 >> Are they you "main connection out" ?

No I use Bell's sympatico DSL service.

 >> I see this email came from Covad.

I have no idea who Covad are. When at home I have to use sympatico's smtp
server, not AT&Ts

 >> And Bell Canada for your website ?

No - John Ross hosts my web site on Netshare. I am looking at using Bell,
but it requires switching to them as the DSL supplier and that may require
using a business line (as opposed to the residential rate I am paying now) -
the result could be very expensive.

Just to add some additional detail. I _could_ run my own e-mail server but
currently do not have a fixed IP and frankly have enough grief in my life
just trying to keep up with the accounting let alone run an e-mail server.
