should allow him to dictate where to keep his stuff locally.

should show what to replicate and if he wants local encryption.

I have a friend who uses Lotus Notes. It's my understanding that all of
his emails, contacts, etc, are kept on a the server?
 
Is there a way to archive everything locally and save them?
