Hi Arnie,

The client ( the one who initiates the session ) is the one to be verified and the one who creates a key pair.
Keys are always generated as a pair.
A key pair consists of a private key ( that you keep *private* ) and a public key that you send to the server admin.
Similarly, if the "server side" need to connect to ( act as a client ) you they have to create a key pair and send their public key to you.
