Since the major change in the way IBM delivers OSS software in September, 2022 what is the best practice to implement the new path so as not to use deprecated OSS versions?

We have the current packages installed in the default folder: /QOpenSys/pkgs/bin

We see this for the bash shell: https://ibmi-oss-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/troubleshooting/SETTING_BASH.html

Here's the link about the PATH: https://ibmi-oss-docs.readthedocs.io/en/latest/troubleshooting/SETTING_PATH.html

But before this can be done globally seems like we have to be sure any processes using OSS work with the most recent OSS distribution.

We have a number of shell scripts called out of CL using CALL QP2BATCH where the .sh has "#! /QopenSys/bin/sh" at the top.

Need some direction here.

Thanks,

Jerry
