I've been learning about Rest API's. As I'm still learning please correct
me if my terminology or understanding is incorrect.

I used a Scott Klement presentation to expose a web service on an HTTP
instance which called an RPG program. This endpoint returns a JSON object
to the browser.

Next I created a node server which consumers the web service by calling the
endpoint.

I would like to eliminate the HTTP server if possible so I'm thinking I do
this by the node server calling the RPG program using iToolkit. I'm
thinking that the approach I should be taking is have one node server which
consumes the web services (which I currently have) and a second node server
which exposes web services (through iToolkit) on a second port.

Does this make sense? Is there something I'm not understanding at a high
level?

Thanks,

Rob
