If you're using the (default) "*CURRENT" user ID to connect, it needs 7.3

I'm using the native ODBC driver. It works fine for me and another
admin. We gave it to an end-user and it's failing. The first time
there was an AF entry in the audit journal. We granted authority and
it still fails (no new AF entries).
