Thank you. After another hour or two of reading, researching and configuring yesterday, I did run across both those links. I have removed 5733-OPS in its entirety and installed the open source environment.

Follow up question ... there used to be a 'My First IBM I App' tutorial (by Arron Bartel, if memory serves). I don't see anything like that in the wiki anymore. Are there any quick and dirty tutorials on the topic out there that you might recommend?

As long as you don't have any solutions relying on 5733-OPS, don't bother with it (in fact DLTLICPGM so it's unlikely to cause confusion if you work with others).

I put this idea of node.js as our path to modernization on the shelf
for a while. I want to pick it back up, now. A lot has changed.

I want to reset my environment so it is based on the yum packages
before I start out. Do I remove all the 5733OPS options first or are
some of them still useful?
