the yum verb (which I didn't know, being more used to apt on Ubuntu ...sheesh, the branching out of Linux distros!) is provides, e.g.
Jack! You should do a yum presentation at COMMON this spring! I only
cover it lightly in my presentations. And my impression is you've had more
exposure to Linux package managers than me. :-)
