Slack also is terrible when it comes to try and clean up messages. Not
sure how Ryver was for that.

I use a few channels for testing integration with my software and would
like an option to "clear the whole thing".

There are addons for Chrome that will do it, but only if you send the
messages with your ID. I don't most of the time. I use a bot name or
something else (ie MSGW alerts, etc).

Then again Google has a service now similar to Ryver and Slack now too.

Jabber.. That died years ago when Google disbanded it.
