The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

Thanks Aaron.

Subject: Re: [IBMiOSS] GCC compiler
I describe how to install gcc in this article:
http://bit.ly/2jSLcTl Note
it is towards the end.
5733OPS doesn't include gcc, just the things necessary to subsequently
obtain it from perzl.org. In my article I show how to obtain the IBM i
Chroot project via 'git clone' which will get you the latest version of the
project. Note the IBM i Chroot project is what occupies an option in
5733OPS, though the bitbucket version is much more recent.

I can't seem to find a way to call the gcc. (dense in the head maybe
but..)
BASH works great.
