The effort to migrate the mailing list server to a new host has been a bit
fraught with troubles ... but I think I've got most of the major issues resolved.
The biggest remaining issue is that Yahoo doesn't like a major influx of email
from a new IP address all at once.
They want me to 'warm up' the new IP by sending some mail from the new server IP
to get Yahoo used to the traffic & type of mail.
Guess what! This list won that lottery ... so I've migrated this list to the
new server.
This will mean that mail sent from & to the list will use the address
midrange-nontech@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Mail sent to midrange-nontech@xxxxxxxxxxxx will continue to work for quite a
while, but eventually that forward will be shut down (no eta on that).
The only ramification is that yahoo subscribers may experience a delay in mail
delivery.
