I briefly entertained http download, but the download time was 48 hours vs 19 for download director. Plus .ZIP for HTTP and each piece of software had to be done one at a time. So, over 60 separate .ZIP Files.

I used to use Download Director but switched to http due to all the issues
with different browsers. Seems like they go to great efforts to hide that
certain pop ups are blocked.
Also, many of IBM's sites require you clear your cache and stuff regularly
or their cookies lose their bonkers. I've had to do it multiple times a
day on some days. Another reason I use four browsers, "oh this one is
dead for IBM today but I really don't want to close all the rest of my
tabs...". Some IBM sites have admitted defeat and pop up a "clear IBM
cookies" screen, which is nice.
