Subject: Salary guides for Power i professionals

Hopefully, this list still has people subscribed to it.

I am in the process of negotiating my salary for a company that wants to
transition me from a contractor to a salaried employee. I am somewhat new
to the Grand Rapids,. MI job market but, considering the cost of living
here, especially related to the explosive housing prices, the salary I'm
being offered, for someone with over 25 years of experience on the IBM
midrange platform, and two years experience working at this particular
company, seems rather low. I would like to negotiate from a position using
as much factual data as possible. I remembered the name Nate Viall, and
found a link to http://www.nateviall.com/ in a 10-year old post in the
archives, but the link is dead. I emailed him using an address from
LinkedIn, but haven't heard back yet.

I found
http://www.competitive-position.info/salary-report/
view.html?job=rpg-develop
er&location=usa&date=2018&years-experience=11&months-experience=2,
but am unsure of the source of the data used to support the results.

Can anyone recommend a reliable source for salary reports?
