<< We just refuse to get into the whole discussion. >>

Really? Your first response was Pavlovian. So was Rob's "Northern European"
comment. :-)

<<While you're at it are you going to refuse to work on any IBM equipment
now too?>>

Yes, I'm getting close to packing it in for good. 42 years is long enough.

No, it did not. We just refuse to get into the whole discussion. The WSJ
just did a very nice statistical workup on the whole H1B thing. You might
choose to read it.

While you're at it are you going to refuse to work on any IBM equipment now
too? Considering the amount of development IBM moved off shore you might
choose to follow your own rants and stop using IBM i but then again, I won't
hold my breath.

Man, the whole point went over both your heads. I give up.

Paul,

I can understand why Jim feels you don't miss a slam at COMMON every chance
you get. But I don't think that's what you were doing this time.
About the only thing you seem to be more passionate about is slamming people
who use consultants of other than Northern European descent.

I'm not so into boycotting people because of this or that. There's been a
lot of good companies done harm because of their perceived stand on the
issues, or that they had differing principles or didn't have the EXACT
principles of certain opinion that I get rather tired of all that. And,
well, you have such a thorn against COMMON that they've probably wrote you
off as someone they're not going to please anyway.

I understand your concern about H1B's and that. After all, it's perfectly
acceptable for a company to outsource to your consulting firm, just not to
any of your competition. You gotta protect where your bread is buttered.
