But why the Retrieve Encrypted User Password (QSYRUPWD) API would be
considered insufficient as an answer, is beyond me. Using the API
ensures that any implementation details that might be specific to the
hardware or the level of the OS software are avoided; any tricks
required to overcome the system integrity protections are also avoided.
