I know for a fact you get really sick if you don't get it treated right
away. I was at the hospital 10 minutes after I got bit.

Lucky the guy didn't get bit - I know a guy who was bit on the pinky by one of these - forearm turned black - had to have it cut open to drain for like a week - these have what is called necrotoxin - destroys tissue - he was lucky - the fangs went alongside a knuckle or some such - not all the way into tissue.

It was a copperhead snake about 12 inches long. Our maintenance guy
pinned the snake head to the floor and grabbed him right behind the
head. Happened in Tulsa, Oklahoma
