Doing some direct access to Exchange is another thing we would like to be able to do from iSeries apps. Looks like exchange also has web services

Has anyone on this list ever used these services from an iSeries rpg or java application?

but I do know that you can't do anything to things in the portal
and you can't put new things in the portal or pull things from
the portal if you use MS Sharepoint portal.

Huh??? I'm not trying to get into a sharepoint discussion here, but you
can do almost anything to a sharepoint site via programmatic interfaces.
