Yes, but wouldn't we (and the i community at large) be better served by
fixing wikipedia's ASP page then making our own? Or at a very least,
fixing their (simple) page, adding a link to the midrange page, and
enhancing the midrange page?

I'd be shocked if a new contributor were discouraged on either wiki. I think the larger problem is a lack of motivated contributors.
